SCAN-G goes to Italy

Pipes are subject to high loads, making safety and integrity crucial. The SCAN-G offers an automated UT testing solution for these pipes. Rosenxt Industrial Diagnostic Systems has now successfully delivered such a system to its customer Riveco Generalsider S.P.A. in Italy.

More than 20 colleagues from various fields, including electronic and mechanical design, software and hardware development, automation, sales, planning, and production, contributed to this project.  

With the SCAN-G, Rosenxt has a system in its portfolio that enables cost-effective and reliable inspection of solid bodies, pipe ends, and weld seams using a modular approach. Plates are placed on a test table and scanned in a meandering pattern by an X-Y scanner. The system determines the position of the plate on the test table before the inspection begins and then positions the inspection mechanics over the plate. At the end of the test run, the test data is automatically evaluated according to the applicable quality standards and the test report is automatically generated.
